Prof. Victor A. 30th June 2015

A lot has been said. Prof VCB Nwuga is the unambiguous trail blazer. He came, he saw, he seized, he led, he rearranged, he reshuffled and re-stacked the cards set against our heavily oppressed beloved profession in a more equitable way, and left in a blaze of glory! The sad news of his departure hit me like a brick-wall, leaving me in conflicting emotions, one of deep sorrow at his departure at a time we need more of his wisdom and sagacity, and the other of great joy that he has gone to lie in the bosom of the LORD his Creator and great Mentor to rest eternally from all his toils, devoted to bettering himself, his family and humanity. The thoughts of my family and I, go to his entire family, especially to his beautiful and lovely wife, Mama Gladys Peju Nwuga who was known as my mama while Prof Nwuga was referred to as my papa in my sojourn with them as Assistant to senior Lecturer in the Dept of Medical Rehab, at the then Unife, now OAU (other Profs would ask me thus: "baba e da, mama e da?" Meaning: "where is your papa and mama?" When they seek them out for one thing or the other). May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace. Amen. Prof. Victor A. Obajuluwa.
